Weekly Prayer Needs

Praises
-Praise the Lord that He does not look only at external things, but looks at the heart of those He uses to accomplish His vision. Pray that as God unfolds His plans before us we would trust His choices, even when they don’t make sense to us (1 Samuel 16:1-13).
-Praise the Lord that He has vindicated Himself as the one true and living God. Pray that our idols would be mocked before us and that we would turn away from them and grasp after the Lord (1 Kings 18:16-46).
-Praise the Lord that as we hope in Christ for the final redemption of our bodies, God saves us. Pray for our patience as we wait with hope for what we cannot see—the promise of our full redemption (Anchor Verses; Romans 8:24-25).
-Praise God for the work He’s doing through SICM and the Backyard Bible Clubs. Pray that they would continue to see fruit as they lead two more clubs this week.
-Praise God for using our ministry residency program to serve our congregation and equip young pastors and missionaries for gospel service. Pray for Jeff Hershberger and Brandon Levering as they complete their residency this week, for Chris Spano who continues his and for Jeremy Otten and Jeff Buster who begin next week.

Pray for
Sunday Services
A.M.— Pastor Todd Augustine continues our summer series, Roll Call of Faith, preaching from 2 Kings 5:1-27. P.M.— Ministry Resident Chris Spano will preach from 2 Kings 20:1-11, “For Yahweh’s Sake, and for David’s.”

Pray for our Community
-Pray for our World Impact Teams to Chicago (July 25-31) and Spain (July 30- August 16). Pray that God would work in the hearts of the people with whom they share the gospel and that He would grant safety and good health to the teams.
-Pray for those in our church and the broader community who are dealing with the effects of the recent flooding. Pray that God would use the damage and loss of physical things to focus our minds and hearts on eternal blessings that do not burn, fade or grow moldy.
-Pray for our new combined adult community series, Bridges, which focuses on understanding and reaching our Muslim neighbors. Pray that the Lord would enable us to reach our community with the gospel through this series.
-Pray for those considering working with our STARS disability ministry on Sunday mornings this fall. Pray that over the coming weeks God would raise up volunteers with a passion for serving the STARS in this capacity.
-Pray that despite a poor economy and financial difficulties for many of our members, the Lord would bring about a renewed spirit of giving in our church to bring us back on track with our budget.
