EQUIP NATIONAL LEADERS

The largest Christian communities today are not in the west, but in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Despite persecution and poverty, the non-western church is growing rapidly. With this rapid growth comes a significant need for leadership training.

Eighty-five percent of the churches in the non-western world are led by leaders who have no formal training in theology or ministry. Church leaders worldwide state that the greatest need of the global church is to train national leaders. Significant resources must be directed toward this need.

College Church partners with 13 national seminaries to train national Christian leaders for gospel work among their own people and to the least-reached peoples of the world. We provide financial support in the form of scholarships to 70 national leaders studying at these partner schools. These leaders are preparing to serve as pastors, youth ministers, seminary professors, counselors, music leaders and missions trainers. Some are preparing for work among Buddhists in Myanmar, Muslims in the Central African Republic, atheists in the Ukraine and indigenous tribes in Brazil. Thirteen College Church missionary families are teaching in national seminaries.
