At College Church, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are STARS (Seeking To Always Reflect the Savior) because they shine for Jesus.
For more than fifty years, the STARS Ministry has sought to make access to worship, ministry, purpose-filled work, and fellowship a reality. Whether you’re a person with disabilities, someone who loves them, or someone who desires to serve them, there is a place for you here.
We believe that God has made each and every STAR in his image. Our desire is to provide a place for everyone with intellectual or sensory challenges to worship God and learn more about him.
We offer a variety of programs for STARS of all ages, including both self-contained classes and inclusion, in order to help the STARS worship and learn in the best environment for each individual.
STARS Family Services
STARS Family Services was created to care for the individuals and families involved in the STARS ministry of College Church.
Group Homes
Three community-based homes with supportive living arrangements allow STARS individuals to continue to live in their own communities, close to their family, friends, church, and employment.
Job Skills Coaching
Life Skills Tutors assist our residents learn various household chores and interpersonal skills and plan creative leisure time options for our residents.
STARS Resale Shop
The STARS Resale Shop is completely run on the generous donations of people in the community.
The shop employs some STARS through a job skills program, and runs smoothly thanks to volunteer and employee support.
100% of the proceeds support the STARS Family Services residential homes for STARS. While the success of our homes has been a great testimony to God’s faithfulness, there is more opportunity. The Board has identified 39 STARS who will need housing within the next 5 years.
Sundays or Wednesdays
Be a companion to the STARS in Sunday school and music classes (currently held on Zoom). Enjoy singing, stories, crafts, and praising the Savior together. Sign up to serve during the school year or summer.
Or become a buddy and help with special events.

Become a Life Skills Tutor for STARS Family Services, providing training in various household chores and interpersonal skills. This is an employed position with STARS Family Services.
Or support STARS Resale Shop with job skills training for STARS to work in their store. These needs are ad-hoc. Put your name on the list to be contacted when opportunities arise.
The STARS Resale Shop is completely run on the generous donations of people in the community. And 100% of the proceeds support residential homes for the STARS.

The shop welcomes furniture, decor, kitchen supplies, clothing, shoes, books, jewelry, and more. Working and clean items are appreciated, and the shop can arrange to pick up larger furniture items from your home.
