Holy Trinity Church, Chicago

Pastor Jon Dennis and Pastor David Helm
On May 3, 1998, thirty-seven adults took vows to found Holy Trinity Church. As Rev. Kent Hughes said at our founding, “the trajectory of our lives would be forever changed.” And we hoped, as London pastor, Dick Lucas, said in his remarks on that day, “When God opens a door, no man can shut it.”

Christ Church Chicago

Pastor David Helm
On May 3, 2020, Holy Trinity – Hyde Park was planted as a new church, Christ Church Chicago, under the leadership of Pastor David Helm, the co-founding pastor of Holy Trinity. We are thrilled for this day and excited about what is ahead.

Church Planting Across the Globe

College Church is committed to planting churches locally and internationally.

Through our Cross-Cultural Missions program, we support missionaries on six continents to train pastors for ministry and to plant churches.

Equipping and Sending Pastors

Equipping Pastors

Our two-year program equips pastors for ministry wherever God calls them.  Several residents are accepted into the program each year.

Sending Pastors

Over 20 pastors have completed the residency program – see where the Lord has called them to serve.

Equipping for Music Ministry

We seek to equip for worship by freely sharing resources with individuals and churches.  Our Music & Worship Team curates a list of resources for worship leaders and a directory of original compositions and hymn arrangements.

Launching Ministries

Through College Church congregation members and College Church initiatives, new ministries have been launched.

Twice Is Nice Resale Shop

Twice Is Nice Resale Store is owned and operated by College Church in Wheaton. All proceeds are generously donated to the Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream.

Since its inception, Twice Is Nice has donated more than 1.5 million dollars to OCC

Charles Simeon Trust

The Charles Simeon Trust was founded in January 2001 by David Helm, Jon Dennis, and Kent Hughes (Senior Pastor Emeritus of College Church).

It was named for Charles Simeon, an evangelical and trainer of preachers in Cambridge, England who ministered for 54 challenging years.

STARS Resale Shop

For more than fifty years, the STARS Ministry of College Church in Wheaton has come alongside people with developmental disabilities, ministering to them and their families with the love of Jesus.

The STARS Resale Shop is completely run on the generous donations of people in the community. 100% of the proceeds stay right here in Wheaton to support the STARS Family Services, especially in support of building permanent residential homes for the STARS.

STARS Family Services

Since 2008, STARS Family Services provides private community-based homes (supportive living arrangements) and related services for adults with developmental disabilities in Wheaton, Illinois.

God Centered Life

God Centered Life (GCL) is the Bible-teaching ministry of Senior Pastor Josh Moody.  As an independent ministry, GCL aims to make the power of God’s word accessible through radio and internet broadcasts, podcasts, and online devotionals.

Since its inception, God Centered Life has sought to engage culture, train churches, and reach colleges by providing solid, biblical teaching through its sermons, devotionals, and the One Night Centered on God conference.

In 2009, College Church members Rebecca Sandberg and Holly Setran gathered a group of other College Church women to reimagine how to connect with and meaningfully help refugee women in the Wheaton area. Their desire was to empower these women to gain a viable skill while being in a safe community of women and in a dignified and flexible work environment. Now women from Somalia, Turkey, Nepal, Iraq, Bhutan, Sudan, Tanzania, and other places gather together to meet Jesus, learn English, and become artisans.
