Life is Precious

All human life is made in God’s image and is valuable to God. For those who have been affected by abortion, we believe true healing is found in Jesus alone.

SOHL Task Force

The Sanctity of Human Life Task Force is committed to:

  • Praying for those who are considering or have experienced abortion
  • Advocating for the unborn with individuals, pro-life organizations, authors, and legislators
  • Educating and mobilizing our church to uphold and defend the value of human life

The SOHL Task Force typically meets at church throughout the year.

Chicago Pro-Life Rally and March

Since 2017, College Church has taken groups to March for Life Chicago where we’ve gathered with like-minded churches and individuals to celebrate and take a stand for life. On Saturday, June 24, 2023, College Church will attend a Chicago Pro-Life Rally and March together to present a public witness, raise awareness and encourage each other to act on behalf of those whose human rights are denied by legalized abortion. Speakers from Pro-Life Action League, Simply Pro-life, Illinois Right to Life, and a client from Aid for Women crisis pregnancy ministry will start the rally. A short march and celebration in Federal Plaza will follow. We will meet at church at 9AM to gather and pray before boarding the buses to travel to the event together.

Bus registration is free but we need to know how many seats to reserve. Click here to ride the bus! Email sohl@college-church.org with questions.

Peaceful Prayer Monthly

Planned Parenthood Aurora is the largest abortion facility in the Midwest, where 300-400 babies lose their lives each month.  Statistics show that when women see peaceful prayer outside an abortion facility, appointment cancellations increase significantly.

Each month, in cooperation with 40 Days for Life, we meet to pray on Saturday from 1-2PM outside Planned Parenthood in Aurora at 3051 E. New York Street. Park at AutoZone or Mariano’s.

Upcoming Dates: June 10
